UCLA VC Steve Olsen Endorses Subway to UCLA

There will be increased discussion about the “Subway-to-the-Sea” and its proposed stop at UCLA now that an environmental impact report has been released. Getting to UCLA on Sunset Blvd from the Westside Will Be Difficult Next Week

LA County Supervisor Yaroslavsky’s blog warns that the Sunset Blvd. bridge over the 405 will be undergoing demolition next week. You are best advised to use a different route to UCLA from the Westside. The blog contains a history of the bridge, built in 1955, together with early photos such as the one on the left that shows hardly any traffic.
